Talented Skegness Grammar School student releases album

A talented student at Skegness Grammar School, part of the David Ross Education Trust, has released his first music album.

William Jacobs’ debut album, ‘The Calm’, features tracks of down-tempo, orchestral and electronica fusion along within atmospheric soundscapes.

The ten original music tracks on the album, which has been over a year in the making, have been recorded and produced solely by the Year 11 student.

Following the album’s online release earlier this month, William said: “This has been a huge achievement for me and it is surreal to see the album finally released.

“My experience at Skegness Grammar School has really helped me to develop my musical talents and I cannot thank my teachers enough for their continued support during the creation of this album.”

Heather Scott, Principal at Skegness Grammar School, said: “This is an incredible accomplishment for William. He is an outstanding musician and I am delighted to see this album released after all of his hard work.

“I am certain that ‘The Calm’ will be a huge success and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for William’s musical career.”

‘The Calm’ is now available to download via iTunes. A sample of William’s work is also available via YouTube.
