Great news for Deba
Against lots of competition, Deba has been accepted to study Medicine at the University of East Anglia.
Although all of Deba’s teachers here at Skegness Grammar School had no doubt she would succeed very well, it goes without saying just how very proud we all are of Deba’s achievements, and we wish her all the very best in this new adventure she is about to embark upon and we will continue to support Deba through her A Levels and beyond.
“I am a firm believer in the power of education, knowledge and using it to make a difference in this world.
My journey in pursuing a career in medicine has not been an easy one. Obtaining work experience in general practice and hospitals, sitting entrance exams and preparing for difficult interviews whilst studying for A ‘levels has been quite challenging, however, in the end I have found that my experiences have given me a lot of self-motivation, resilience and determination.
Living at the in wainfleet hall and studying at Skegness grammar school has enabled me to grow as an individual, making me a more well-rounded person and candidate. I am now preparing to commence my studies at Norwich Medical School at the University of East Anglia and I am hoping to specialise in paediatric surgery in the future”.
